Alladi Ramakrishnan's visit to the Institute for Advanced Study was academically very fruitful. On return to Madras University, he submitted a Report of the work done by him at IAS. This may be found in the first link below. Included below are some pictures taken at Princeton. During the year in Princeton, Ramakrishnan and Lalitha had several guests - E. C. G. Sudarshan who had just finished his PhD, P. M. Mathews, Ramakrishnan's first PhD student, and Dr. Kotani from Japan, whose pictures you will see. At the Institute, Inder Singh Luthar, another Visiting Member in Physics, became a close friend of the Ramakrishnans.
